Current weekday interviews air on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:10 am , 1:10 pm and 4:10 pm. Sponsorships are available.
KIMY, 93.9 fm, in Watonga, OK, reaches from Weatherford to western Oklahoma City, Yukon, Mustang, El Reno, Piedmont, and Edmond, OK and 101.5 fm OKC, reaches from Yukon to almost Shawnee, and north on I - 35 to the Stillwater, OK exit. The tower is close to Crossroads Mall

Being a military wife is one with many challenges. It brings a lot of worry and fear that at any moment, something bad could happen. Being separated from the one person you want to be with and not being able to do anything about it. Even death.
I would be so naive to think that only military wives thought this way. But for my experience, I have learned how to use Phil 4:8 as a tool. To me it is more than a verse in the Bible, telling me to think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, excellent or praiseworthy. I have taken my situation and applied each one of these thoughts to my problem, fear or worry. I learned when my husband was deployed for two years, that God is bigger than my worry and that I could not control the situation. I had to learn how to depend on God in my very hard and at times, heartbreaking situation. So I began to memorize Phil 4:8, then at one moment, I actually asked what is true about my situation, what is noble, what is pure, what is lovely, excellent or praiseworthy about my husband being gone, house falling apart, kids not minding and a stressful situation at work. In this, I found a new outlook on my circumstances...there could be crazy all around me, but if I focused my thoughts on what was true, noble, right, pure...about my situation, then I could see things in a positive light and not have to walk around with negative thoughts.
2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to take our thoughts captive, which takes a lot practice and discipline, but I think combined with Phil 4:8, you have a better chance at succeeding. What does taking our thoughts captive actually mean?? Well to me, it means when wrong thoughts come in, we immediately think on things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, excellent or praiseworthy about that negative thought and then I think it makes the bad go and good stay.
Many Christians read the Bible, but do not apply the Bible to their lives....In 2 Peter 1:3, "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge" is a verse that I think is taken for granted for. God has given us EVERYTHING we need to do life on this earth, but we have to look to Him for our strength and do what the Bible tells us to do.
Breaking my circumstances down, to discover a more meaningful, appreciative way of seeing the things in my life that God has brought me through or stumbled me upon, has impacted me in a way I will be forever grateful.
This isn't rocket science, it's a relationship, one that has to grow and prosper, like our relationship with our spouse or friends. If we just change our thought life we may change the world!!

Chris McGahan, President of Italian Jim's Pizzeria
Italian Jim loved to cook pizza, but it was a secret family recipe. Chris McGahan met Italian Jim's daughter and seven years after they were married, Italian Jim shared the recipe.
Chris used that secret recipe to build relationships. Chris found ways to encourage those less fortunate with pizza and friendship.

Gayle Dyer is co-owner and Director of Marketing for "An Affair of the Heart”, Inc. of Oklahoma City.
She established her first business in 1982 as owner of Willow Creek Antiques and Gifts. In 1984 she became cofounder and owner of "An Affair of the Heart." The business is now one of the largest events and unique marketplace in the United States for antiques, crafts, clothing, jewelry, home decor and gift items. The shows are produced 4 times a year in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

Throughout a 30 year business career in sales, advertising, marketing, publishing, management and ownership, Max has an extensive resume in all phases of the corporate world. He has a Journalism Degree from Oklahoma State University and an MBA from The Meinders School of Business at Oklahoma City University. He also holds current Insurance Licenses in both Oklahoma and Texas and is currently a Financial Representative with Modern Woodmen of America, and is completing his Certification as a Fraternal Insurance Counselor and Securities Licensing.
Max has been married to the love of his life, Diane, for 28 years and they have four daughters and a son-in law. He and his family make their home in Edmond and are members of Henderson Hills Baptist Church, since 1996. During that time, he taught an adult Bible Class four years. He also has served on the Character Council of Central Oklahoma four years and is currently a Committee Chair. He finds great satisfaction helping people make wise decisions about their financial plans and he loves to pursue intense studies of the Bible and when possible, work on his golf swing.
